• What is yarn-dyed fabric?

In the textile industry, the color treatment process of fabrics can be divided into three categories: color weaving, printing, and dyeing. In terms of processing flow, ordinary printed and dyed fabrics are first spun from yarn into fabric, and then dyed and printed.

According to different weaving methods, it can be divided into plain weave yarn-dyed fabric, yarn-dyed poplin, Oxford fabric, chambray, denim fabric, as well as khaki, mini-jacquard, jacquard fabric, etc.

According to the different finishing process, it can also be divided into yarn-dyed washed fabrics, as well as various yarn-dyed plush fabrics processed by pulling, pilling, and sanding processes. These types of yarn-dyed fabrics are more suitable for winter use.

• Advantages of yarn-dyed fabric:

1. Strong three-dimensional sense: yarn-dyed fabrics use different colored yarns and fabric structures to form various beautiful floral patterns, which have a three-dimensional sense compared to general printed fabrics.

2. Good color fastness: Due to the use of original yarn dyeing for yarn-dyed fabrics, the dye penetration is strong, so the color fastness is good.

3. Rich in color: When weaving yarn-dyed fabrics, multi shuttle and multi arm machines are used, which can interweave different fibers or yarn counts into colorful and cleverly patterned varieties.

4. Unique style: Due to the use of colored yarns and various construction changes, yarn-dyed fabrics can be woven into beautiful and uniquely styled varieties.

5. Washable and Durable: yarn-dyed fabrics undergo high-temperature treatment during the production process, which tightly combines dyes and fibers, thus possessing excellent washability and durability. Even after multiple washes, there will be no discoloration or wear.

• Disadvantages of yarn-dyed fabric:

1. High cost: Due to huge losses in processes such as dyeing, weaving, and post-processing, as well as lower production capacity than white fabric, the investment cost and technical requirements for yarn-dyed fabrics are high.

2. Easy to be affected by sunlight: Most dyes in yarn-dyed fabrics are not resistant to light, and prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause color fading. Therefore, it is important to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight during use.

3. Long production cycle: Due to the relatively complex production process of yarn-dyed fabric, which requires multiple processes to complete, its production cycle is relatively long. This may have a certain impact on the production and delivery time.
